Sa Tanchitta stands among old woodlands in central Sardinia, close to the Roman baths at Fordongianus, Nuraghe Losa and the sacred well of Santa Cristina. Lake Omodeo is also nearby, with opportunities for canoe trips. The main building includes reception, a restaurant and five double rooms with private bathrooms, heating and air conditioning. The surrounding area offers both technical routes and easier trails, combining sport, nature, culture and local food.
The traditional home cooking includes bread baked in a wood-fired oven, locally raised meat, cheese, cured meats, vegetables and fruit. A house speciality is the fresh pasta known as “Sos Cannisones”, and guests can watch it being prepared.
Breakfast includes homemade cakes, biscuits and preserves, as well as cured meats, cheese and eggs from the farm.
